This series includes the five paintings you see above.  Except for "Three Nudes" each original painting is 5in x 7in, a very small size for such wonderful paintings; therefore, I've reproduced them in larger sizes (see below).  Let me tell you how these came about:
I had entered the locker room at Results the Gym in Washington, DC, when I was suddenly taken by inspiration.  Sitting at the end of a bench was a gentleman who, having finished his workout, was now getting ready to leave.  As soon as I saw him I felt inclined to create a quick sketch.  I don't think he noticed me looking at him for the black lines were created rather quickly, just seconds: Male Nude I

As I'm coming up the stairs onto the workout floor I see three men standing and talking to each other.  I hurried back to the locker room and picked up my large sketch book.  The men were still talking to each other when I reached them, and I sat on one of the workout machines and created another quick sketch: Three Nudes

Having finished my workout I went back to the locker room where I found a man drying up after taking a shower.  Another quick sketch and I had Male Nude II

After taking a shower I left the locker room and headed to the health bar.  While waiting for my food I noticed a woman sitting, eating and reading the newspaper, becoming Female Nude I and II

Three years later I decided to recreate these paintings in a much larger scale, which you see here.

"Three Nudes"

All others are 28in x 40in
